      <image:title>Home - Who Am I?</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a white, fat, queer, and cis woman. I studied Clinical Social Work at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, and through my work doing community mental health, I fell in love with therapy. I went on to become a licensed graduate social worker (LGSW) and I am now providing heart-centered, feminist, intersectional, and person-centered therapy. My therapeutic approach is rooted in curiosity from a relational, empathetic, and systemic perspective. I strongly believe the healing nature of a strong therapeutic relationship is one where complexity is explored and nuance is welcomed. I believe when we allow more than a monolithic story to bloom, we make room for every body. My hope is to create an affirming space for you to rediscover all that you already are.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - My clients are</image:title>
<image:caption>My clients are often thoughtful and have big feelings about how to navigate the world. They could be struggling with the relationship with their body or experiencing big life changes. In therapy, people are often navigating how to find meaningful connections with themselves, the world, and the people around them. It is not uncommon in therapy for people to realize the way past experiences, identities, roles, or trauma have impacted their everyday experiences. The clients I work with are trying to find harmony within all the different parts of themselves. I am here to support and celebrate all of who you are.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Teletherapy</image:title>
<image:caption>As COVID-19 evolves and changes, I will continue to offer telehealth sessions only. A telehealth appointment is a virtual therapy session. It does not change the amount of time we have or the work we do together. It means you can do therapy from home!</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Me - My Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>I think it is so cool that you are exploring therapy. What a way to advocate for yourself! Therapy is a big deal and a relationship that takes time to grow. I do not take that lightly. I use radical acceptance and radical gratitude to meet you exactly where you are. The list below explains common topics or issues people might bring to therapy with me: Body Image Self Esteem Depression Anxiety Sex Pleasure Grief Identity development (sexual orientation, gender identity, etc) Relationships (family, partner (s), etc) Stress Lack of coping skills Codependency My therapy practice aims to be trauma-informed, feminist, relational, empathetic, and rooted in an internal family system (IFS) perspective. IFS is just one approach to help navigate the multiple parts we all carry on a daily basis. The different roles people hold (parent, partner, friend, worker, musician, artist, etc) are all influenced by the environments, experiences, and relationships people develop. This approach simply reminds us to bring compassion to ourselves while also unpacking and welcoming complexity.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Me - About Me</image:title>
<image:caption>Hi! I’m Sarah and I use she/her pronouns. I bring the intersections of my identities and life experiences to my work as a therapist. I aim to build honest, transparent, and radical relationships that acknowledge and question my privilege. I love live music, long drives, and being where the wildflowers grow. I live and work on the land of the Dakota and Anishinaabe peoples (St. Paul) with my partner and our cat, Mimzy. I am someone who laughs easily and who loves to explore all living and growing things with compassionate curiosity. I love to spend time in my kitchen cooking for my loved ones, and finding cookbooks at thrift stores. I became a therapist because I believe I can best support people navigating the multitudes of their existence and experiences. I am destined for complexity. I believe when complexity is held and explored, no one gets left out. I desire to hold space for people to ask questions, seek support, and explore who they want to be. My approach to therapy means we acknowledge the elaborate systems that are no longer serving us and we let our imagination free. In my role as a therapist, I recognize how systems and patterns may be impacting clients in a negative way. These systems include racist, sexist, fat-phobic, and transphobic systems. My goal and hope for my clients is to support a greater understanding of self, and how you can be whole exactly as you already are.</image:caption>
