You Contain Multitudes.

Who Am I?

I am a white, fat, queer, and cis woman. I strongly believe the healing nature of a strong therapeutic relationship is one where complexity is explored and nuance is welcomed. I believe when we allow more than a monolithic story to bloom, we make room for everybody. My hope is to create an affirming space for you to rediscover all that you already are.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in curiosity from a relational, empathetic, and systemic perspective.

I studied Clinical Social Work at Augsburg University in Minneapolis because I believe in the power of community support, and I believe therapy is one way towards a stronger community. And it was through my work doing community mental health, I felt most connected to others. I went on to become a licensed graduate social worker (LGSW) and I am now providing heart-centered, feminist, intersectional, and person-centered therapy.

“Radical self-love demands that we see ourselves and others in the fullness of our complexities and intersections and that we work to create space for those intersections.”

My Clients Are…

My clients are often thoughtful and have big feelings about how to navigate the world. They could be struggling with the relationship with their body or experiencing big life changes.

In therapy, people are often navigating how to find meaningful connections with themselves, the world, and the people around them. They may be struggling with how to set boundaries at work, navigating their perfectionism, and how to stay true to themselves amidst the systems we navigate. Their intimate relationships may feel harder than they want, and they aren’t sure why at the end of the day they feel exhausted.

In therapy, it is not uncommon for people to realize the way past experiences, identities, roles, or trauma have impacted their everyday experiences.

The clients I work with are trying to find harmony within all the different parts of themselves. I am here to support and celebrate all of who you are.

 Teletherapy

As COVID-19 continues to change and evolve, I will be offering telehealth sessions only. A telehealth appointment is a virtual therapy session. It does not change the amount of time we have or the work we do together. It means you can do therapy from home! My sessions are 55 minutes long, and I am able to bill most insurances including Medicaid and MNcare. If you would like to discuss my sliding private pay options, you can email me to set up a free consultation.
